Hi and welcome to my blog.
The new challenge is here with Delicious Doodles and it is Seasons...

I chose a beautiful image from http://deliciousdoodles.blogspot.com/
IRIS
This reminded me of my Grandmothers flower bed. I sure miss her. She could garden anywhere and grow anything. I used to tell my son when he was little she was God's little fairy.
I am learning some new techniques so I tried my hand with one of them on my piece.
I colored the image with prisma pencils . The background is a french script stamp and the tea dye and vintage photo stain under it.
I then glued the iris in the center and began adding particles like a zipper buttons clips and loads of paper lace using Golden molding paste. I cut out the little dove from dove soap and placed him over the bottem left and covered him in gesso. :) perfect touch I thought.
I added die cut pieces and more paper lace.
when it was dry I sprayed with Dylusion inks and covered the IRIS with glossy accents.
I added a chain and this makes the perfect cheerful wall hanging for a room.
I used a cereal box for the backing as well as mixed media paper on the front from my journal book.
enjoy the challenge...can't wait to see your creation :)
