Lily and The Lotus (Allywhitecats) Mixed media and Delicious Doodles Pink for Cancer Post

 Welcome to my blog.
Pink for cancer ..this is such a important post for everyone for I have met noone...not one person that has not lost someone in their family or friendships to Cancer.

I lost my great grandmother RUTH BAINES POPHAM and great auntJONIE LEA PARKER and my paternal grandfatherRAYMOND L. KYSAR  to cancer.

so I made a mixed media piece I  showed you  a while back..a piece I am using for Michaels in a mixed media class.
I have chosen beautiful little angel "Fallen" from
"Fallen" is adorable with her sad little face and her little boots available at

I used a 12x12 die cut board book from Michaels. I used white "basics" paint and apple Barrell pinks.
I colored her with Prisma Pencils.
I used the mixture of art journals for this piece and some paper roses and ribbons. Hope to see you at the challenge
have fun!!!!

Lily and the Lotus and Allywhitecats new challenge piece for Delicious Doodles

Hi and welcome to my blog.
The new challenge is here with Delicious Doodles and it is Seasons...
I chose a beautiful image from
This reminded me of my Grandmothers flower bed. I sure miss her. She could garden anywhere and grow anything. I used to tell my son when he was little she was God's little fairy.

I am learning some new techniques so I tried my hand with one of them on my piece.
I colored the image with prisma pencils . The background is a french script stamp and the tea dye and vintage photo stain under it.
I then glued the iris in the center and began adding particles like a zipper buttons clips and loads of paper lace using Golden molding paste. I cut out the little dove from dove soap and placed him over the bottem left and covered him in gesso. :) perfect touch I thought.
I added die cut pieces and more paper lace.
when it was dry I sprayed with Dylusion inks and covered the IRIS with glossy accents.
I added a chain and this makes the perfect cheerful wall hanging for a room.
I used a cereal box for the backing as well as mixed media paper on the front from my journal book.
enjoy the challenge...can't wait to see your creation :)
